BBC Media Action in partnership with FDRE Ministry of Labor and Skills and The David and
Lucile Packard Foundation is disseminated newly developed strategy on “Engaging Young
people through media, a social and behavior Change Communication Strategy”.
In his opening remarks, the State Minister of Labor and Skills His Excellency Nigussu Tilahun
“the strategy unveiled would help young people to have information, to be trained and
engaged in a variety of environmental issues, so that the goal would be to work extensively
with partners on young people based on the study's results”.
"We will collaborate with the Ministry of Work and Skills on tasks that have support the
strategy to address the issues that have pointed to solve problems among Ethiopia's young
people," said Yemiserach Belayneh an advisor of David and Lucy Packard Foundation.
BBC Media Action's Country Director Mian Muhammad Junaid for their part, praised the
Ministry's work on youth and the study initiative.
The study included findings that can change difficult situations connected to employment and
attitudes for young people in Ethiopia said participants from various ministries and institutions.
